MASAI MARA NORTH CONSERVANCY

The Masai Mara North Conservancy is a cooperative partnership between camps, lodges and the local Maasai community to professionally manage and protect the North-Western region of the Masai Mara, formerly known as "Koyiaki Conservation Area", "Koyiaki Group Ranch", or "Koiyaki Group Ranch". The Masai Mara North Conservancy covers a vast stretch of land that is rich with wildlife such as lion, cheetah and leopard, and includes sites such as the world famous "Leopard Gorge". The Conservancy serves 5 primary objectives:
- professional management of wildlife areas
- preservation of the environment for generations to come
- protection of wildlife against poachers
- transparent distribution of park fee funds to the Maasai community
- fundraising for Maasai community initiatives
